Shoe Zone donates £20k to National Emergency Trust
Footwear retailer Shoe Zone has donated £20,000 to the National Emergency Trust Coronavirus Appeal and is also making it easy for customers to make donations.
The retailer has also introduced a new option on its UK and Ireland websites which allows shoppers to round their orders up to the nearest pound. The ‘spare change’ from this will then be donated to the appeal.
Charles Smith, chairman of Shoe Zone, said: “We felt it was more important than ever to show our support for those most vulnerable in our society by donating £20,000 to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.
“Our stores may be shut for now, but online we are encouraging people, where possible, to round up their orders to help further support the appeal.”
Shoe Zone has also included links to the National Emergencies Trust website on its website and social announcements.
