Self Portrait unveils first bag collection
London based fashion brand Self Portrait has unveiled its debut bag collection in a new campaign.
Self Portrait founder and creative director Han Chong has collaborated with Renell Medrano, Haley Wollens and Naomi Campbell on the campaign for the Bow Bag range, which pays homage to the 1990s.
Featuring two styles, including the Bow Mini and Bow Micro, the collection is available to purchase at self-portrait.com, in Self Portrait stores around the world, and through partner retailers.
The dedicated video led campaign, which was directed and captured by Medrano, is set to the original 1990s hit The Boy Is Mine by Brandy & Monica. With styling by Wollens, it features Campbell wearing pieces from the brand’s upcoming autumn/winter collection.
Chong said: “The origins for this campaign came from such a simple idea born out of a play on words with the name of our new bag. Given the ambition, it could have been impossibly challenging, but I was so honoured when everyone jumped on board to make it a reality – from creative ingenues Renell and Haley, to the legendary Naomi who stars as our leading lady and to Brandy and Monica for allowing us to use their iconic track to bring our dream video to life.”
