Seasalt launches first Welsh store
Cornish fashion brand Seasalt has opened its first Welsh store at the St David’s retail and leisure destination in Cardiff.
Spanning 1,829 square feet, the new store is situated next to Jo Malone and Cath Kidston on the corner of The Hayes and Tredegar Street.
The shop has been designed by Seasalt’s in-house team to give a Cornish coastal lifestyle feel.
Seasalt co-founder Neil Chadwick, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our very first Welsh shop in St David’s as we continue to expand our business. It’s a brilliant location with great charisma and such a great catchment, the destination was the obvious choice. We’re looking forward to meeting more of our customers and offering them our latest collections, designed in our studios in Falmouth, Cornwall.”
Also joining the line-up at St David’s is women’s fashion brand Apricot which has launched a 4,562 square foot store adjacent to Accessorize and Primark.
The news follows Victoria’s Secret opening its first Welsh store last month on Grand Arcade at St David’s.
Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Land Securities and Intu, Colin Flinn, regional director at Intu, said: “The addition of Seasalt and Apricot to the St David’s line up reinforces our exceptional fashion offer as we continue to be the destination of choice for growing retailers looking to expand outside of London.”
St David’s is anchored by the largest John Lewis outside of London and also features Debenhams and Marks & Spencer stores and 200 other shops and restaurants.
