Scotch & Soda accelerates expansion plans
Scotch & Soda is stepping up its growth plans by opening 15 new bricks-and-mortar stores and seven shop-in-shops in North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region by the end of the year.
The news coincides with the official launch of the Dutch fashion retailer’s first online store on Alibaba’s Tmall in China.
The retailer said the physical stores will be a mix of company managed and franchise stores in places like Bucharest, Charlotte, Dortmund, Gothenburg, Madrid, Mumbai, Paris, Perth, Riyadh, Philadelphia and Stuttgart.
Frederick Lukoff, chief executive of Scotch & Soda, said: “It is indeed a very exciting time for our company despite the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the retail industry.
“We are pursuing the expansion of our retail network at a global level, strengthening our footprint in markets where we are already present, as well as entering key markets such as China, that we see as full of potential to reach new customers and introduce them to our brand.”
After opening 34 physical stores and 27 shop-in-shops since January, Scotch & Soda now has a total of 249 retail stores and 280 shop-in-shops around the world.
