Schuh opens Irish distribution centre to help drive growth
Footwear retailer Schuh has opened a new distribution centre in Dublin to help drive growth in Europe.
Spanning 49,000 square feet, the facility will be used to supply products to Schuh’s ten stores in Ireland and to fulfil orders made through Irish, German and EU websites. It will also enable the retailer to offer next day delivery across most of Ireland for online and customer orders.
Colin Temple, managing director of Schuh, said: “We are delighted to be opening a new warehouse in the Republic of Ireland, which will support our growth plans, create new jobs and provide best-in-class service to our Irish and European customers.”
The centre will also enable the retailer to have a later cut-off time for store sales replenishment.
Schuh also operates two fulfilment centres in Scotland.
