Sascha Moeri steps down as chief executive of Carl F Bucherer
Sascha Moeri has stepped down as the chief executive of Carl F Bucherer.
Moeri has worked with the business for 12 years and has also held the position of general manager of Bucherer Fine Jewellery for the last two years.
Guido Zumbühl, chief executive of Bucherer Group, said: “We deeply regret Sascha Moeri’s decision. He has decisively shaped the positive development of the Carl F. Bucherer brand for more than a decade.
“Sascha Moeri was a passionate ambassador for our brand and an individual whose enthusiasm was contagious. He has successfully expanded the Carl F Bucherer brand around the globe, increased awareness of the brand and effectively strengthened its image, and also ensured that our product portfolio is extremely well positioned for the future.”
The company said Moeri had drastically improved the performance of Bucherer Fine Jewellery.
Zumbühl added: “Today, product development and business operations have made great strides. We would like to thank Sascha Moeri for his extremely valuable efforts and his loyalty, and we wish him only the best going forward and hope that his next steps bring him a great deal of happiness and fulfilment.”
Moeri has been succeeded as general manager of Bucherer Fine Jewellery by Robert Ambord on an interim basis. Ambord has been art director of the business since August 2021 and previously held the same position at Gübelin.
Meanwhile, Moeri’s deputy, Uwe Liebminger, will take over the management of Carl F Bucherer, also on an interim basis. He has been responsible for global marketing and product development at the company since April 2020 and has extensive experience in the watch sector following leadership roles at IWC and Breitling.
