Salvatore Ferragamo names Paul Andrew as creative director for women’s collections

Luxury fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo has promoted Paul Andrew to the role of creative director for women’s collections.

Andrew was orginally recruited to the company as design director for women’s footwear in September 2016 as part of an initiative to transform and reinvigorate Ferragamo’s core business.

In his new role, he will have oversight of the development of all women’s product categories, as well as the creative content of marketing, communication and brand activity.

Prior to joining Salvatore Ferragamo, Andrew worked with Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen.

Eraldo Poletto, Salvatore Ferragamo group chief executive, said: “Paul has a dynamic vision for the Ferragamo woman, which he has demonstrated with crystal precision and success in footwear over the past year. I am confident that with this new responsibility, Paul will now be able to creatively unify all categories of the women’s business with coherence and synergy, strengthening our brand identity.”

Andrew’s debut women’s collection for Ferragamo will be for the autumn/winter 2018/2019 season.
