Russell & Bromley appoints Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw as first creative director
Premium footwear brand Russell & Bromley has appointed Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw as its creative director.
The move marks the first time in the brand’s 140 year history that design has been taken in-house.
In his new role, Beardsworth-Shaw will join Russell & Bromley’s executive leadership team and will oversee brand and product direction whilst reporting to chief executive, Andrew Bromley.
Previously design director at Accessorize, Beardsworth-Shaw has also worked as vice president of design – FTC at Sweaty Betty and design director at Hunter Boot. Earlier in his career, he spent over six years at Christopher Raeburn where his most recent position was design manager.
Russell & Bromley said the appointment signifies a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory and coincides with the relocation of its head office to Kingly Street in London’s Soho. The new location will be home to all of the brand’s head office functions and will also feature dedicated design and creative studios.
2024 has also seen the brand collaborate with agency partners, including creative studio Acne, to bolster this next phase of its brand transformation.
Andrew Bromley said: “We are thrilled to welcome Daniel to lead our new product design function and visual brand identity as we focus on growing our global business.
“This marks an important step in our transformation plans to cement our reputation within British fashion. We have a unique story to tell and believe this is the moment to truly bring Russell & Bromley to life.”
Beardsworth-Shaw’s first full collection for the brand will be for the autumn 2025 season.
