River Island appoints trading managing director
River Island has appointed Suzy Slavid as its new trading managing director.
The move marks a return to the fashion retailer for Slavid who previously held the position of merchandise manager for kidswear and ladieswear from 1999 until 2012.
In a post on LinkedIn, she said she was “happy to share” that she had started her new role.
Prior to re-joining River Island this month, Slavid worked as chief executive of the Wyse London fashion brand and also previously held a range of senior roles at Boden, including chief trading officer.
Earlier this month, River Island announced that its executive chair Richard Bradbury was stepping down for personal reasons and that the business would be led by former chief executive Ben Lewis, the nephew of River Island founder Bernard Lewis.
