Reiss returns to profit
Reiss returned to profit last year after achieving record trading in the period.
The 12 months to 29 January saw the company’s sales climb by 50% to £256.5 million with womenswear and menswear accounting for 57% and 43% of trade respectively.
Meanwhile, Reiss posted a pre-tax profit before exceptional items of £39.6 million compared to a loss of £3.8million in the prior year.
International sales were also strong at £81.1 million and made up over 30% of the company sales in the period.
Reiss chief executive Christos Angelides said: “Reiss delivered record sales and profits, despite the retail lockdown closures in the first ten weeks of the financial year. The business has continued to deliver strong growth in the first half of the current year, across both men’s and women’s divisions and we are confident that profits this year will exceed those achieved in 2021.”
