Quiz boosted by customers seeking out dressy items

Quiz has seen its half year revenue come in marginally ahead of expectations with an increase of 37.2% to £49.4 million.

The fashion retailer attributed the uplift in the six months to 30 September to the appeal of the Quiz brand to customers seeking out glamorous looks at value prices following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.

Revenue from stores and concessions rose by 48.2% to £24.6 million while online and international revenues increased by 28.8% and 26.1% respectively.

Looking ahead, Quiz said it remains confident in its product proposition and commitment to value prices. It anticipates that its full year results will be in line with market expectations but said this will be partly dependent on trading during the key Christmas period.

The company added: “The board is pleased with the strong growth recorded across all channels during the period which supports the group’s omnichannel business model.  It remains confident that the brand will continue to increase its appeal and looks forward to achieving continued profitable revenue growth.”
