Puma set to leap into Gloucester Quays

Athletic apparel brand Puma has signed to take a new store at the Gloucester Quays outlet and dining destination.

The 2,184 square foot space will stock the brand’s range of clothing and footwear for women, men and children, as well as dedicated sportswear collections for sports such as running, football and motorsport.

The shop will be situated opposite Le Creuset. Other brands with a presence at Gloucester Quays include the likes of Adidas, Timberland, and Levi’s.

Colette Hilton, head of retail and e-com UKI at PUMA, said: “Gloucester Quays has a reputation as being a hub for leading brands within the South West, so it was a natural home for PUMA’s next outlet store. We are so excited to open the doors to our new location this June, and showcase our trademark, high-quality range of athletic and casual footwear, apparel and accessories.”

The news follows a series of key retail announcements for Gloucester Quays this year, including the signing of Next and a store  opening for Timberland. The destination reported a strong performance across all sectors in 2022, particularly for its footwear and sportswear retailers, with retail sales up 8% on 2019.

Paul Carter, asset director at Peel L&P, said: “Gloucester Quays is consistently demonstrating the quality of its retail line-up, evidenced by the signing of global sports and apparel brands like PUMA. We are committed to providing visitors with an extensive range of vibrant new retail options, and high-quality specialist brands that diversify the outlet’s offer. We have already introduced Timberland and Next this year, so the signing of Puma is a continuation of our efforts to keep Gloucester Quays fresh and exciting.”
