Primark pledges to freeze prices of kidswear
Primark has pledged to freeze prices on more than 1,000 of its best selling children’s clothing products as it looks to help families through the cost of living crisis this autumn.
The move follows an earlier announcement by Marks & Spencer in which it said it will not increase the prices of school uniform items.
Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “Offering the best value on the high street has always been at the heart of our brand, and is more important than ever today. Kids grow fast, and replacing their clothing is an essential task for families – we hope that by protecting the prices on our essential kids’ items we can help in some small way.”
Primark said most of the products in the price freeze programme will be from its sustainable clothing range, Primark Cares.
