Primark launches in-store vintage clothing concessions

Primark is giving its customers the chance to purchase pre-loved fashion by launching a vintage clothing concession in its Birmingham store today.

A similar concession will follow in Manchester in the coming weeks.

Through a partnership with the Vintage Wholesale Company, the concessions will operate under the brand name Worn Well by the Vintage Wholesale Company. Items will span 70s, 80s and 90s trends such as denim jumpsuits and shirts, spaghetti tops, printed sweaters, puffa jackets and patterned shirts.

Meanwhile brands will include the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Converse, Levi, and Dr Martens.

Jermaine Lapwood, head of innovation and future trends at Primark, said: “We’re very excited to open our first vintage concessions in Birmingham and Manchester. Vintage clothing has increased in popularity over the last few years, and we know that our customers love creating unique looks by mixing old fashion with new. This concession will be the nostalgic bridge between generations, bringing curated retro fashion at great value.”

The move marks an extension of Primark’s in-store offering that includes 22 beauty, nail and hair studios and 32 food and drink outlets in shops around the world.

Primark’s Birmingham high street store also includes a Custom Lab T Shirt printing station where customers can create bespoke, personalised t-shirts, a Tasty by Greggs café, a Disney Café and a Primark Beauty Studio. Meanwhile the Manchester store offers a Central Perk Friends Café, Smokey Barbers and more.
