Primark announces opening date for first standalone homewares store
Primark has announced the launch date for its first-ever standalone homewares store.
The shop in Belfast city centre will open to the public on Thursday 6 March.
Situated in Donegall Place, just over 100 yards from Primark’s flagship Bank Buildings store, the 8,700 square foot Primark Home will stock an expanded range of homeware essentials, including items such as cotton bedding and towels, soft furnishings, decorative pieces, small furniture and quirky kitchen ceramics.
Fintan Costello, head of Primark Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “This is a big moment for the Primark brand and a big moment for Belfast too as we finally announce the opening date of our first-ever standalone Primark Home store.
“Primark and Belfast have a storied history and we’re incredibly proud the city will be the first in the world to experience this exciting new retail concept.

With homewares moving to a new space in the city. the retailer’s Bank Building shop will will see its kids’ section doubling in size and menswear expanding to its own dedicated space on the top floor of the building.
The opening of Primark Home marks the retailer’s tenth store opening in Northern Ireland, alongside locations in Ballymena, Craigavon, Derry -Londonderry, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Newtownards, Newry and Omagh.
