Pretty Green calls in administrators
Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green men’s fashion brand has called in administrators.
With the company operating 12 shops and concessions in House of Fraser department stores, the move has put over 170 jobs at risk. In addition to struggling against difficult trading conditions on the high street, the company was impacted by House of Fraser’s collapse into administration last August.
Moorfields have been appointed as administrators and are now looking to find a buyer for all or parts of the business.
A spokesperson for Moorfields said: “Pretty Green is not immune to the challenges facing the high street as customers migrate from purchasing in store to online.”
Simon Thomas, partner at Moorfields, said the company had attracted a “large amount of interest.”
The brand was founded by Gallagher in 2009.
