Paul Smith to launch first Manchester store

Luxury fashion brand Paul Smith is to open its first shop in Manchester.

The 3,000 square foot store will open on New Cathedral Street (pictured), a run of luxury stores adjacent to Manchester Arndale. Both the centre and the parade on New Cathedral Street are owned and managed by M&G Real Estate and Intu in a joint venture partnership.

Paul Smith operates around the globe with shops in Paris, Milan, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and the UAE.

Colin Flinn, regional director at Intu, said: “We are really excited to be adding such an iconic British fashion brand to Manchester city centre’s line up. Paul Smith’s arrival in the city demonstrates the strength of Manchester as a core ‘must trade’ location for leading fashion brands.”

M&G Real Estate and Intu are also expanding the restaurant and café offer in the city after recently announcing their investment of £11 million in the redevelopment of Halle Square as Halle Place, a new contemporary casual dining destination at the heart of the centre.
