Paul Smith launches Manchester store

Fashion designer Paul Smith has opened a store on Manchester’s Cathedral Street. The launch event was attended by some of the city’s most well- known faces.

Earlier in the opening day, Smith also attended a mentoring session for 20 MBA students at Alliance MBS, part of The University of Manchester. In addition, he delivered an in-depth talk at the Whitworth Gallery for 200 attendees about his history within fashion and design.

Speaking of the store opening, Smith said: “It’s great to be in Manchester for the first time in several years. The visit has brought back many memories of local mills I worked with in the early stages of my career and my personal relationship with George Best who I knew very well during his lifetime. I’m delighted to have opened a shop here, the city feels brave and optimistic despite recent events.”

The store offers the latest Paul Smith collections for men and women including a seasonal stock of runway ready-to-wear fashion and accessories. In addition, a dedicated suit room at the back of the store will offer a range of formalwear.
