Pascal Perrier named as new chief executive of La Perla
La Perla owner Sapinda has appointed Pascal Perrier as group chief executive of the lingerie brand.
With 30 years’ expereience in the luxury fashion sector, Perrier has joined the business from Burberry where his most recent role was chief executive of the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to Burberry, he worked in senior roles at a range of luxury fashion houses, including Gucci Group where he executed the acquisition and subsequent integration of Yves Saint Laurent, as well as acquisition of Balenciaga.
Investment firm Sapinda acquired La Perla in February this year and since then has been working to restructure the business with a view to improving profitability. The firm has also hired an experienced team to lead the turnaround and has promoted Alessandra Bertuzzi to the position of head creative designer following the departure of Julia Haart.
Sapinda chief executive Lars Windhorst said: “We are delighted to finally announce the appointment of Pascal to lead La Perla into a new era of growth. The luxury fashion and lingerie sector is full of opportunity due to the rapid pace of change with which consumers and other cultural stakeholders are now engaging with luxury brands. There are few more experienced people to navigate us through these opportunities and take the brand to the next level than someone with the luxury fashion industry clout and know-how of Pascal.”
