Panerai appoints new chief executive
Panerai has appointed Emmanuel Perrin as its new chief executive.
Currently serving as head of specialist watchmakers distribution at the luxury brand, he will take up his new role on 1 April.
Perrin has worked for 33 years within Richemont, Panerai’s parent company, where he has also held positions at Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
At Panerai, he will succeed Jean-Marc Pontroué, who has led the brand since 2018 and worked for 25 years within Richemont.
Never Miss a Retail Update!In a statement Richemont said Pontroué had played a pivotal role in shaping Panerai’s strategy and global presence, following his leadership positions at Montblanc and Roger Dubuis.
It added: “The Maison extends its sincere gratitude for his dedication, leadership, and contributions over the years.”
In his new role, Perrin will report to Richemont chief executive Nicolas Bos.
Commenting on his appointment, Perrin said: “It is with excitement and a deep sense of responsibility that I take the baton handed from Jean-Marc and the teams that have contributed to the development of Panerai to this day.
“I am looking forward to being of service to the Maison, its colleagues, its clients, its partners, and the Paneristi worldwide.”
