Pandora UK and Ireland to pay special bonus to all retail employees
Jewellery brand Pandora will be paying a special bonus to around 2,600 retail employees across the UK and Ireland to thank them for their hard work during its fourth quarter.
The minimum payout will be £100 but this will increase depending on an employee’s role. It has been introduced in addition to the staff’s existing monthly sales incentive programme.
The move follows better-than-expected group results for 2023 when fourth quarter sales rose by 12% as a result of strong Black Friday and Christmas trading.
Since October 2022, Pandora has increased salaries by 14% for all UK and Ireland staff and has also offered employees a higher quarterly jewellery allowance.
With the UK being its second biggest market, Pandora has added 99 new stores to its own-store network in the country since 2019 and grown its headcount by 80% in the last four years.
Rasmus Brix, managing director for Pandora UK and Ireland, said: “Our success last year is down to the immense efforts of our team members around the UK and Ireland, and we would like to thank each and every one of them for their commitment and hard work.
“Pandora is a brand that is built around the connect between our consumers, our sales team and our product. We continue to invest in our retail teams to ensure that they feel supported, motivated and incentivised in their careers.
“I’m happy and proud to be able to pay a one off bonus, as recognition to all our retail staff who worked exceptionally hard in Q4 to deliver a strong end to the year.”
Pandora operates 234 retail stores across UK and Ireland and continues to expand to cover key locations. It has recently opened a new flagship in London’s Oxford Street and is about to launch shops on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street and in the newly built Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.
