Pandora appoints chief commercial officer
Jewellery retailer Pandora has appointed Martino Pessina to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.
Reporting directly to the company’s chief executive Alexander Lacik, he will become part of Pandora’s executive leadership team.
Pessina previously worked as H&M’s president of North America where he led a sales and profit turnaround. He spent nearly 20 years working with the fashion retailer in a variety of roles which included retail, sales, merchandising, operations and global expansion.
In his new position, Pessina will be responsible for Pandora’s commercial operations across more than 100 markets and will also lead a new network and franchise management function.
He will join the business on 2 April.
Lacik said: “As part of our turnaround programme, we are strengthening the organisation and moving Pandora closer to consumers. Martino has an impressive track record in international mass-market fashion retail and will play a very important role in this transformation. He is a natural leader with excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of shoppers.”
