Omega opens largest UK franchise store at Liverpool ONE
Watch brand Omega has opened its biggest franchise boutique in the UK at the Liverpool ONE shopping destination.
Situated on the centre’s Upper South John Street, the 2,000 square foot store was created in partnership with David M Robinson.
Designed to showcase Omega’s Speedmaster, Constellation, Seamaster and De Ville collections, the shop is also an authorised repair centre and features a bar and an innovative changeable lighting system to help create different ambiences in the store. It also makes use of Omega’s own fragrance in the showroom air-conditioning system.
John Robinson, managing director at David M Robinson, said: “I am thrilled to see the doors of our Omega boutique open in Liverpool, cementing the city as the home of DMR. It has been an exciting journey along with our friends at Omega and we are pleased that they have chosen us as their preferred partner for this project which has created a unique luxury proposition here in the heart of Liverpool ONE.”
The news coincides with an 18% year-on-year increase in jewellery sales at Liverpool ONE since retail stores re-opened on 12 April after the Covid-19 lockdown.
Other recent additions to Liverpool One include Clarendon Fine Art and an upsized store for the Castore premium sportswear brand.
Alison Clegg, managing director, asset management at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, said: “The opening of such a significant Omega boutique demonstrates Liverpool ONE’s continued popularity among leading retail brands for physical stores. It is a great addition to Liverpool ONE’s luxury offering and provides even more diversification at the destination. Together with other recent additions, Liverpool ONE continues to be one of the most in-demand and best-performing destinations in the UK.”
