Oasis completes senior leadership team restructure with new design director hire
Oasis and Warehouse Group have appointed Michelle Evatt as design director for Oasis.
Due to take up her position later this year, Evatt is currently associate director for womenswear creative at the Ted Baker fashion chain.
Having joined Ted Baker in 2005 as a senior designer, she was appointed as head of design in 2016 and to her current role last year.
Sarah Welsh, managing director of Oasis, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Michelle will be joining Oasis, she is an amazing talented designer and leader with a great track record. The impact she will have on the product handwriting is both exciting and strategically aligned with our objectives.”
The appointment follows a review of the Oasis design, buying and merchandising leadership team. Earlier this year, Huong Su joined the retailer as merchandise director and Delia Phillips will take up the role of buying director this summer.
Welsh added: “Together with Huong and Delia we believe we have assembled a formidable team, and I very much look forward to working with them all.”
