Nudea launches first-ever Sustainability Report
B-Corp certified, sustainable underwear brand, Nudea, has unveiled its first-ever Sustainability Report this month.
The comprehensive report provides an in-depth insight into the brand’s environmental and ethical achievements over the past year since obtaining B-Corp certified status in February 2022.
Nudea’s CEO and Founder, Priya Downes comments: “Earning our B-Corp certified status in February 2022 was a remarkable milestone so early in our journey, affirming our commitment to building a business centred around environmental consciousness and social responsibility.
As a B-Corp certified brand, we are proud to be driving transformative change within the lingerie industry. Over the past three years, we have made significant strides, spearheading sustainability projects that fill us with pride. In the midst of a turbulent 2023, the tension between business growth and sustainability has escalated, making it even more crucial for us to stay steadfast in our mission to support customers, stakeholders, and the planet.”

- Emissions – Nudea’s partnership with Urbit, a last mile delivery service which is conducted by public transport or e-bikes, has launched in major UK cities. Also, the Nudea website will soon feature Vaayu technology, an automated software which will calculate and communicate the carbon footprint of each Nudea product for full transparency
- Circularity & bra recycling – Nudea’s bra recycling scheme, ‘Bra-Cycle’ which launched in June 2022 and has already recycled over 1,500 bras

B Corp certified since 2022, Nudea was established in 2019 with sustainability at the brand’s heart.
From the outset the brand’s ‘Buy Less, Care More’ sustainability pledge encourages consumers to buy less but buy better and other initiatives include inclusive sizing using diverse models, audited factories with high ethical standards, intelligent features to prolong product life and maximise wearability, GRS and GOTS certified fabrics, carbon neutral products delivered in responsible packaging as well as bra recycling offered to all customers.
