Nike Unite makes regional debut at Merry Hill

Nike Unite has made its regional debut at the Merry Hill shopping destination in the West Midlands.

The community-focused concept has taken a 10,165 square foot space on the lower level of the scheme for its first store in a shopping centre environment.

Nike Unite stores aim to serve and celebrate the people in its local community with each store designed to reflect their “heart and spirit”. Stock is curated locally and includes every-day essentials “at the best price” as well as new seasonal offerings for men, women and kids.

Alistair Winning, asset manager at Sovereign Centros, said: “As one of the top 10 UK retail and leisure destinations in the UK, Merry Hill requires a tenant mix that delivers a variety of best-in-class brands, while reflecting its position within the West Midlands.

“We are so excited to welcome Nike Unite, for what will be their first-ever store in this type of destination. The brand and concept align perfectly with our community ethos, elevating the Merry Hill experience and adding to the growing collection of aspirational brands here.”

The news follows the recent signing of womenswear retailer Vanilla at Merry Hill and a successful 2022 for the centre when more than 175,000 square feet of new deals were secured. This included openings by Ted Baker and Kurt Geiger and the signing of a 36,000 square foot unit for leisure brand Hollywood Bowl.
