Nike to open ‘digitally focused’ Nike Rise store in Manchester

Sportswear giant Nike is to open a new 13,418 square foot store at Manchester Arndale.

Due to launch later in 2023, it will be Nike’s first store in Manchester and will be home to its digitally focused Nike Rise concept.

The shop will be situated in the last remaining space in the centre’s former Topshop unit following lettings to Clarks and Gilly Hicks last year.

M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual act as joint asset managers of the centre.

Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “It is testament to the popularity of Manchester Arndale that Nike has selected the centre for its first Rise store in Manchester. The city is home to two of the world’s most famous sports team and Nike’s arrival will be a great attraction for sport lovers across Manchester and the North West.”

The signing also follows the arrival of  Sports Direct, Hollister and Tommy Jeans at Manchester Arndale.

One of the UK’s largest city centre shopping malls, the centre welcomes over 42 million visitors in an average year and has more than 200 shops and restaurants.
