New Look Belgium files for bankruptcy

New Look’s retail business in Belgium has filed for insolvency following a review its financial trading position.
The company said the business has concluded that it is unable to continue trading and has decided to wind up its operations after its performance failed to meet expectations.
New Look Belgium has now filed for bankruptcy proceedings with the Brussels Enterprise Court and it is expected that a trustee will be appointed who will take charge after a court hearing planned for the week beginning 21 January.
New Look is currently conducting a review of its non-core international markets.
