New brands to debut at London’s Carnaby

Shaftesbury is to welcome new retailers The Cords & Co. and Finlay & Co. to London’s Carnaby shopping district.

Eyewear and sunglasses brand Finlay & Co. will open what will be its first ever store this October. The 650 square foot experiential shop at 61 Broadwick Street will sell the brand’s best-selling frames as well as a curated edit of ten other independent eyewear brands from around the world.

In addition, new concept The Cords & Co. will launch its first UK standalone store in Carnaby this month which will have a specific focus on corduroy. Selling classic pieces reimagined in a contemporary way with bright colours and bold shapes, the brand will also showcase exclusive collaborations with brands such as Alpha Industries, Eastpak and DJ Harvey.

Samantha Bain-Mollison, group retail strategy and leasing executive at Shaftesbury, said: “We are pleased to announce two new independent openings, Finlay & Co. and The Cords & Co. to Carnaby this autumn, complementing the fashion forward direction of the Carnaby destination. Shown through Sweaty Betty’s upscaling, Shaftesbury is also keen to support successful tenants and provide opportunities for development and growth.”
