Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet launch care and repair service
Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet are launching a care, repair and alteration service to help customers extend the life of luxury garments.
In a partnership with The Seam, the service will be offered for womenswear at Net-A-Porter in February followed by menswear and womenswear at Mr Porter and The Outnet by the spring.
The collaboration marks The Seam’s first ever partnership in luxury retail and will make use of its extensive network of local makers across the UK.
The offering for Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet customers will include clothing alterations and repairs, bespoke customisations, and care and repair for handbags, footwear and jewellery. Most services will be completed within seven to 10 days and an express service will also be offered subject to availability.
Alison Loehnis, interim chief executive of Yoox-Net-A-Porter, said: “We believe that beautiful fashion from past seasons can be a building block of our customers’ future wardrobes. Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet are renowned for curating the most exciting luxury fashion and we take pride in offering tips and tools to make these pieces last.
“Our care & repair service, in partnership with The Seam, is designed to ensure that the pieces our customers buy from us can be cherished for years to come.”
The launch of the new service follows an expansion of the brands’ resale offering where customers can resell pre-loved designer items.
