Nanushka launches flagship store on Tmall
Budapest based fashion brand Nanushka has entered China and launched a flagship store on Alibaba’s Tmall.
Founded in 2006 by Sandra Sándor, the brand has already been expanding internationally through listings with leading retailers and the opening of physical stores in New York and London.
Nanushka’s approach in China will include operating nine bricks-and-mortar stores by 2026. These include a newly launched shop in Shanghai’s IAPM Mall and the opening of a shop in Chengdu later this year.
Peter Baldaszti, co-founder and chief executive at Nanushka, said: “We are delighted to launch on Tmall and start the next chapter of our international expansion story by entering China. Today, China continues to be at the very forefront of the luxury sector and presents a significant long-term opportunity for us to raise awareness of our carefully designed collections.”
