M&S expands activewear range to include kidswear and menswear
M&S is expanding its Goodmove activewear range to include both kidswear and menswear as it looks to increase the amount of casualwear it sells.
The retailer is also looking to benefit from an accelerated shift towards people wearing activewear as everyday clothing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Goodmove range launched at the start of 2020 and has been popular with women looking to work out in style. In a recent survey, M&S found that one in four customers had bought its activewear in the past year and that sales of the items on M&S.com rose by over 200% from March to September.
Jill Stanton, M&S’s womenswear and kidswear director, said: “2020 has cemented activewear as a staple in our wardrobes—we’ve worn it not just to workout but to work as well. By expanding Goodmove into mens and kids we want to continue to drive growth through a stylish and relevant product offer. Fabric quality & innovation remain at the heart of the range—from quick-dry fabrics to blackout leggings—which is part of what makes it such great value.”
