M&S launches contact-free bra fitting service
Marks & Spencer has launched a contact-free bra fitting service at 64 of its biggest stores in England and Wales.
The service will be run by M&S’s team of lingerie experts who will show customers how to take their own underband measurements with a sterilised tape measure. They will also assess cup size and offer advice on different styles, shapes and options.
Prior to the second Covid-19 lockdown in England, the service was trialled at M&S’s Bluewater, Bromley, Kingston, Milton Keynes and Westfield White City stores. Following positive feedback from customers who rated the ‘safe’ and ‘helpful’ service, the retailer has decided to extend it to more shops.
All appointments are made online to enable M&S to collect details for track & trace. This will also help it to offer a better pre and post bra fit service and issue appointment reminders.
Over the past few months, M&S has also offered bra fit advice through its online bra fit tool which is used on average by over 20,000 customers a month.
Laura Charles, M&S’s lingerie director, said: “We know our customers will continue to use online services and we’re working hard on improving those, but we also want to offer them the choice of an in-store experience, so we’re delighted to be starting our contact-free bra fit service. Customers can expect the great service they know & love, but adapted for this time, with extensive safety measures in place to protect our customers and our colleagues.”
M&S Lingerie is available online and in all M&S Clothing stores across the UK. The retailer currently sells around 24 million bras per year.
