Monki to open new flagship store in Stockholm

H&M owned brand Monki is to launch a new flagship store in Stockholm at the end of this month.

The 550 square metre shop will be situated at the prime retail location of Drottninggatan 53 and will feature an experience and community area. There will also be a dedicated Monki preloved fashion space that will be run as a collaboration with Sellpy following a successful pilot in the brand’s Götgatan store.

As part of the launch, Monki will also introduce “From King to Queen” – a campaign originating from the store’s relocation from Kungsgatan (King Street) to Drottninggatan (Queen Street). The brand has teamed up with the Swedish illustrator and comic artist, Vanja Ivarsson to elevate the campaign.

Jennie Dahlin Hansson, managing director of Monki, said: “Launching a flagship store on this iconic shopping street in the capital of Sweden feels right at home for us as a brand. We’re incredibly proud and can’t wait to share this new space with our Stockholm community.”
