Metrocentre to welcome Vanilla

London based womenswear brand Vanilla is to open a new store at Metrocentre next month.

Housed in a former JD Sports unit in upper Red Mall, the shop will be home to the brand’s Blue Vanilla and Pink Vanilla labels.

While Blue Vanilla offers outfits for a number of occasions with everything from casual day looks to glamourous dresses, Pink Vanilla targets a younger audience aged 14 to 24, with fashion items inspired by street style, social media and pop culture.

Michelle Burns, head of retail stores at Vanilla, said: “We have been very selective when searching for the ideal location to launch our next Vanilla Flagship store, and Metrocentre, with its impressive array of retail names and strong experiential offering, is the perfect destination for us.

“We have built up a strong reputation with our Blue Vanilla and Pink Vanilla brands through ecommerce and strong sales through our concessions. We wanted to continue to deliver trend-led, yet affordable options for females of all ages, and we are very excited to be opening our seventh store at the Metrocentre.”

The shopping centre’s fashion retailers also include the likes of  Zara, River Island and Next. New openings in 2022 included Harrods Beauty, Jo Malone and Hobbs, and there were also several refurbishments and upsizes by high street favourites such as JD, H&M and Schuh.

Ben Cox of Sovereign Centros said: “We’re proud to be kickstarting the year with the Vanilla store opening and look forward to a successful launch for the brand. The introduction of Vanilla gives our shoppers further choice on womenswear and is likely to be popular amongst Metrocentre shoppers.”
