MatchesFashion appoints new Chief Commercial Officer amid exec shakeup

Luxury fashion retailer Matchesfashion has appointed Carl Tallents as its new chief commercial officer (CCO).

This is the second exec change following the arrival of new CEO Nick Beighton.

Tallents joins from Frasers group, where he has held the role of group head of luxury brands for the last six years. He is to replace Elizabeth Von Der Goltz, who is stepping down as chief commercial officer.

Commenting on his new role, Tallents said he is “thrilled to be working alongside Nick to help deliver the next phase of growth for Matchesfashion.”

Beighton said: “Carl is a fantastic addition to our executive leadership team. We remain focused on our ambition to be THE luxury destination for customers in the world. Carl brings a depth of experience and leadership that will be invaluable as we enter our next phase of growth.”

Former Asos CEO Nick Beighton joined Matchesfashion as chief executive in August. He has subsequently made a number of hires including appointing former Asos and Farfetch logistics head Stuart Hill as chief operating officer (COO), effective from September.
