Matalan adds third-party brands to fashion portfolio
Matalan is to add a host of third-party brands to its ranges as part of its omnichannel growth strategy.
The fashion and homeware retailer will be introducing 18 external fashion brands to build on the success of its own-brand Papaya, Et Vous, Be Beau and Taylor & Wright ranges.
New brands launching on the retailer’s website on 7 September will include Little Mistress, Girls on Film, Ben Sherman, Clarks, Lee Jeans, Rocket Dog, Hush Puppies, Trespass, Craghoppers, Farah, Elle Sports, Pineapple Girls, Hype, Start-Rite and Novo. Meanwhile Jack & Jones Jnr, Only Kids and Ivory Rose will be added to the site in October.
James Brown, Matalan’s chief operating officer, said: “We are thrilled to onboard these popular and well-established third-party brands, to offer our customers even more choice by complementing our own brand offering and launching another exciting phase of our strategic growth journey. These labels have been carefully selected to ensure Matalan remains a leading omnichannel fashion and lifestyle retail destination for families across the UK.”
Matalan is also introducing a new range by TV personality and actress Dani Dyer, who has designed her own 24-piece collection for Girls on Film. Customers will be able to shop the range exclusively at Matalan from 7 to 15 September.
Mark Ashton, chief executive of Girls on Film, said: “We are very excited to be exclusively teaming up with Matalan for the launch of ‘Girls on Film by Dani Dyer’. Dani fits our brand aesthetic perfectly – she is someone who is full of personality and fun! We’ve loved working with her and look forward to collaborating together on future collections.”
