Marks & Spencer expands footwear offering with three new brands
Marks & Spencer has expanded its third party brands offering with the addition of global footwear brands Skechers, Crocs and TOMS.
The move means the ‘Brands at M&S’ platform is now home to over 60 third-party brand partners.
M&S said the new additions will fill gaps in its footwear offering by introducing a combined 200 new styles spanning trainers, espadrilles, everyday sandals, and flip-flops for all ages, including kids.
M&S has also been strengthening its own brand footwear lines following the appointment of Annie Dore, the former head of buying at New Look, to the newly created position of business lead for footwear and accessories last year. Over the last quarter, searches for footwear on M&S.com have increased by 21% with growth mainly driven by the casual trainers category.
Richard Price, managing director of clothing and home at M&S, said: “At M&S, our footwear performance is at its strongest during the autumn winter – customers come to us because they know they can trust in the value, style and quality of our range – from leather boots to loafers.
“Through our Brands at M&S platform, we are building a carefully curated offer of third-party partners which enhance customers’ shopping experience and increase our style credentials. With the arrival of three global brands in the leisure footwear category, together with a refreshed and reshaped own-brand offer – we’re confident that we have a compelling footwear offer to win during the summer months too.”
