Mango appoints fashion industry expert Achim Berg as external advisor to its CEO
The Mango fashion brand has appointed fashion industry expert Achim Berg as external advisor to its chief executive, Toni Ruiz, and its management team.
With the appointment effective from 1 May, Berg will work to support profitable growth and Mango’s internationalisation strategy.
Ruiz said: “Adding Achim to our team of external advisors is a significant step for Mango. His unparalleled experience and innovative vision for the fashion industry will be instrumental in refining our growth and internationalisation strategy, as well as advancing our sustainability agenda.”
Berg’s experience includes working for 24 years with McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded McKinsey’s apparel, fashion and luxury practice and subsequently became its first global leader, a role he held until September 2023.
During his career, he has advised numerous brands, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers and drove strategy, digitisation, and operations work, as well as full-scale transformations.
Berg said: “I am excited to start this new chapter of my career, bringing my knowledge and passion for fashion to Mango. I am committed to helping further establish Mango as a leader in the fashion industry, both in terms of growth and sustainability.”
