Maje has new chief executive

SMCP has appointed Charlotte Tasset Ferrec as the new chief executive of the Maje fashion brand.

The move follows the recent appointment of Isabelle Guichot as chief executive of SMCP.

The group, which also owns Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac, said Tasset Ferrec will also become part of SMCP’s executive committee when she takes up her role on 4 January.

Isabelle Guichot, chief executive of SMCP, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Charlotte to the SMCP executive committee as chief executive of Maje, a house that I know well after having led it for four years. During her extensive career in fashion, Charlotte has acquired an in-depth knowledge of retail, a strategic vision and a leadership, which are major assets to pursue the growth and expansion of Maje as a key global player in the affordable luxury market.”

Tasset Ferrec previously spent three years with the Puig Group where she was chief executive of Nina Ricci Fashion and Perfume. Whilst there, she led the brand’s global repositioning and transformation of its creative platform. Prior to that, she spent 15 years in retail including nine years at Printemps as chief merchandising officer for ready-to-wear, beauty and lingerie and various positions at Sephora and Gap.
