Lucy & Yak 2024 impact report highlights ethical and sustainable progress

UK-based fashion brand Lucy & Yak have released its 2024 Impact report which emphasises its commitment to ethical practices and sustainability.

Founded in 2017, the company has expanded its offerings while maintaining a focus on comfort, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.

Key achievements include significant use of organic and recycled materials, a successful buyback programme to reduce waste, and impactful charity partnerships. Lucy & Yak is also prioritising fair labour practices and aims to map its entire supply chain by 2025. The report underlines the brand’s dedication to responsible business growth and supporting communities.

Key achievements include:

  • Product sustainability: 87% of products contain GOTS-certified organic cotton, and 64% are made from deadstock fabric.
  • Circular fashion initiatives: Over 11,350 Yaks were kept in circulation through the ReBuyback scheme.
  • Charitable contributions: £209,125 donated to charity partners, including Fior Di Loto Foundation.
  • Supply chain transparency: Progress towards full supply chain mapping and increased use of recycled materials.
  • Community engagement: Support for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities through targeted campaigns.
