Louis Vuitton appoints Pharrell Williams as men’s creative director
The Louis Vuitton fashion house has announced that Pharrell Williams has become its new men’s creative director.
His first collection for the luxury brand will be unveiled in June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
Louis Vuitton said the appointment of the record producer, singer and songwriter aligns with its status as a “cultural maison” and reinforces its values of innovation, pioneer spirit and entrepreneurship.
Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton’s chairman and chief executive, said: “I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new men’s creative director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”
