Kurt Geiger to open nine new stores this week
Shoe retailer Kurt Geiger is to open nine new stores this week when lockdown restrictions on the retail sector are lifted.
Standalone shops will be launched in Bridgend, Cannock, Cheshire Oaks, Stratford London and Swindon. There will also be two openings at Victoria Quarter in Leeds, including one store for the Carvela brand, and a launch of two concessions in Morleys department stores in London’s Brixton and Holloway.
The move will create 50 new jobs and Kurt Geiger is hoping to re-employ team members who were made redundant from its Debenhams concessions.
Kurt Geiger chief executive Neil Clifford said: “I am so happy to be opening our stores again and especially pleased to be opening these new stores. At Kurt Geiger, we continue to believe passionately in the high street, and continuing to protect our employees’ jobs as much as possible is a prority for us.”
