Kurt Geiger boosted by strong sales of accessories
Kurt Geiger has seen sales in its gift category surge by 70% since the beginning of November which has made it optimistic for Christmas trading.
The footwear brand’s creative designer Rebecca Farrar-Hockley told This is Money that sales of accessories such as bags, tumblers and hats have been particularly popular.
The brand’s average transaction value is also up, with an increase of 20% year-on-year, as customers buy higher quality items.
Farrar-Hockley added: “Customers are loving some of our more expensive styles. These typically have a higher-than-average retail price due to the workmanship required.”
The news comes as Kurt Geiger launches its Transport for London range which has been inspired the Elizabeth line’s purple shade.
