Joules launches next phase of ‘Rewear’ programme
Joules’ ReWear programme has launched a resale platform as part of the newest phase of its partnership with Reskinned.
The launch coincides with Oxfam’s Second-Hand September campaign that encourages people to buy only second-hand items for 30 days.
The retailer said the Joules ReWear online shop will enable customers to buy any pre-loved and repaired Joules clothing items that have been taken back by Joules customers. These will include hundreds of “good-as-new” styles ranging from classic pieces to those not seen before.
All items will be required to pass a thorough grading process for quality and condition and they will also be ozone-cleaned. Each piece will be handpicked by the Reskinned team to ensure that every garment is in its best condition.
Joules’ initial takeback scheme with Reskinned launched in April 2022.
Ruby Fowler, corporate social responsibility manager at Joules, said: “We’re so proud of the success our takeback scheme has already had, which also further shows the high quality of Joules products. We recognise the huge importance of doing what we can to reduce waste and improve the circularity of our industry, and Reskinned’s efforts align closely with our Responsibly Joules framework. These services offer convenience for customers and new life for pre-loved clothes. It’s a win-win, both for our customers and the planet.”
