Joules hires new chief financial officer
Lifestyle clothing brand Joules has hired Caroline York as its new chief financial officer.
Due to join the company no later than September, York is currently working as finance director at Moneysupermarket Group. Prior to that, she held finance positions at Heathrow, BAA, Atos KPMG and PwC.
At Joules, she will succeed Marc Dench who is stepping down from his position on 11 May, although he will remain available to the group as a consultant to ensure a smooth transition.
Ian Filby, joules chairman of Joules, said: “We are delighted to announce Caroline’s appointment as CFO and look forward to welcoming her to the group in the coming months. I would like to reiterate our thanks to Marc for his significant contribution to Joules during his time with the group and his commitment to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.”
In the period between Dench standing down and York joining the company, Joules finance controller Jon Dargie will act as interim chief financial officer and report directly into the company’s board.
Nick Jones, chief executive of Joules, said: “We are delighted that Caroline is going to be our next CFO and I am looking forward to working closely with her to deliver the next chapter of Joules’ long-term growth and development. I have no doubt that Caroline’s extensive understanding of digital and brand-led businesses will be of great value to Joules moving forward.”
