Joseph creative director to step down

The Joseph fashion brand will see its creative director Louise Trotter leave the business at the end of August according to reports.

Trotter has worked with the company for the past nine years. Prior to that, she held the same position at Jigsaw. Her previous experience has also included stints at Tommy Hilfiger and Gap.

An article in Vogue said that Joseph’s chief executive Hirosuke Takagi had credited Trotter with making a significant contribution to the brand and its continued success, particularly regarding international expansion and launches into new categories such as menswear and accessories.

Her last collection for Joseph will be pre-autumn 2019.

Trotter said: “Working for Joseph has been an incredible experience and I feel very lucky to have been surrounded by such an amazing and talented team who worked alongside me with passion and creativity.”

Joseph has yet to announce who will be replacing Trotter.
