Joseph appoints Mario Arena as creative director
The Joseph luxury fashion brand has appointed Mario Arena as its new creative director.
With 30 years’ experience of designing and developing luxury collections, Arena was previously director of product and design for ready-to-wear, accessories and runway at JW Anderson.
Prior to that, he was director of design and innovation at Nanushka and head of ready-to-wear at Christopher Kane.
Earlier in his career, Arena launched his own label ‘Enlist’ and was creative director and founder of the Arena International design and trend studio where he collaborated with brands such as Celine and LVMH.
Arena’s first collection for Joseph will be spring/summer 2026, which will arrive in stores in October 2025.

Arena will be based in London, working in a newly created Joseph design department which is situated within the brand’s existing head office.
Founded in 1966 by Casablanca-born Joseph Ettedgui, Joseph has nine global standalone stores, a 360 digital presence, and over 400 stockists.
