Jigsaw to open King’s Cross store
Premium fashion retailer Jigsaw is to open a new store in London’s King’s Cross.
Due to launch later this year, the 2,500 square foot shop at Three Pancras Square on King’s Boulevard will be Jigsaw’s 87th standalone UK location.
The company is hoping to benefit from footfall which will include the large number of students and workers who call the area home, as well as the street’s proximity to King’s Cross station.
Peter Ruis, chief executive of Jigsaw said, “King’s Cross is one of the most exciting developments I have witnessed in London. A wonderful hybrid of creativity, commerce, travel and education, fused into the ultimate residential location and Jigsaw had to be a part of it.”
Jigsaw will form a key part of the fashion and lifestyle mix on the street where Nike also opened a store in 2016. Further tenant announcements are to follow in the coming months.
The store is being designed by Checkland Kindleysides with the fit-out expected to make the most of the double-height space to present a gallery feel.
The announcement follows the news that fashion and lifestyle store 18montrose has also chosen to open at King’s Cross later this year in the Coal Drops Yard complex. When it opens fully in 2018, Coal Drops Yard will be London’s newest shopping street and home to a range of fashion, design and food and beverage brands from around the world.
Craig White, project director at Argent (King’s Cross), said: “We are really delighted to bring Jigsaw, with a unique store design by Checkland Kindleysides, to King’s Cross on King’s Boulevard, connecting London’s busiest stations with the historic centre of King’s Cross amidst an impressive line-up of brands.”
