Jigsaw opens new King’s Cross store
Fashion retailer Jigsaw has opened a new store with a theatre inspired design at Three Pancras Square.
Pancras Square is a new London square at the gateway to King’s Cross station. It was chosen by the brand due to its creative buzz and the fashion-conscious students and workers who call it home.
The store is Jigsaw’s 87th standalone store as it looks to benefit from the estimated 17 million people who will be using King’s Boulevard in King’s Cross by 2021.
Spanning 2,500 square feet, the space has been designed by Checkland Kindleysides in what is the third collaboration between the interiors firm and Jigsaw, following debut work in Guildford and Westfield London.
The firm said it has used the “lofty, elegant” architecture to create a contemporary space with an ambience influenced by art studios and backstage theatre.
Commenting on the opening, Peter Ruis, chief executive of Jigsaw, said: “King’s Cross is one of the most exciting developments I have witnessed in London. A wonderful hybrid of creativity, commerce, travel and education, fused into the ultimate residential location and Jigsaw had to be a part of it.”
